Sabi

Alexia and I have "discovered" the most delightful little shop in Oklahoma— Sabi . For starters, the two owners are the most welcoming women you will ever meet. The place is peppered will all things beautiful. Where ever you turn your eyes are treated to the best eye candy—inspiration through color. I feel indulged by just walking in. Their web site is not up yet, but it is expected to up soon. I will post the link at that time. Oh, and the name Sabi means "things that gain beauty from age". I love that! You should pay them a visit so that you can feel spoiled also. The address is: 3703 N Western Ave., Oklahoma City.

Pages from my Artist Journal

My sketchbook is one of my favorite material possessions. I wish that I was better with words, because I love how some artists combine beautifully clever writting with their drawings.

Joyce's Art

My good friend, mentor, and an absolutely beautiful person all around, Joyce Jackson, has illustrated a book. Both message and the art work are inspirational. The book is Bridget "Biddy" Mason: A Walking Sensation (We Were Always There Series). Everyone must have at least one copy.

Samples of my metal work

I "started" this blog January 10th in the hopes that it would be a record of my oil painting journey. I have decided to take on the challenge of learning the craft. January 10th was that day, but still I have yet to complete a painting. As soon as I do, I will of course post a photo of it. Until then, these are a few examples of my metal work--raised, cast, enamel, and fused glass.
