My beautiful quinceañera. She was really born in December, but with all the icy winters we have had in the last few years, we thought it best to wait until summer to celebrate. One of the first posts I ever did was of my oldest's  quinceañera. It seems like just a few months ago. But five years later, this is where we are. I'm hoping he doesn't catch me posting that photo, but I love it so much. We were thrilled to find beautiful Italian lace in the perfect shade of pink to make her dress. I spent two days. I'll have to take a photo of the back. It had a big satin bow with crystals sewn on the center.  Ezri and her damas and flower girls. My nephew and nieces. My two wonderful girls who I love with all my being.

I've been babying it for about four years now. To my surprise, last year it finally gave apples. However, after a couple of days of seeing the tree with lots of apples adorning its branches, I took my daughter to see the little miracle, but ALL the apples were gone. She looked at me as though I was trying to pull her leg. This year, the tree was filled with even more apples. I have recently acquired two bee hives (photos are below) and I have really had so much fun watching them do all their bee things. An experienced beekeeper came by to check on them and gave me a permission to take a photo of one of my queen bees. The painting about is a sketch of that photo. She is beautiful! I've tried many things--some intelligent, others not so much. However, nothing ever stuck. Right after I turned 39, I decided it was now or never and that I would research and find out what healthy, doable changes I could make that would stick. After I worked and saw 28 pounds come off in 4 months ( through a healthy limiting of calories, eating more raw fruits and vegetables and jogging for 45 minutes a day---everyday), I realize that I needed more information. I need this for myself and my family, because I want them to be healthy also--not a weight issue, just a full, healthy life thing. So, I am headed back to school to become a registered dietitian.
